Preparing for Your Photoshoot
Studio or Location?
Most of our customers enjoy the comfort and convenience of a studio photography
session. Rain, hail or shine, you always look your best. Our comfortable environment
will have you feeling at ease within minutes. Locations can also be a lot of
fun with the natural elements complementing you at your best.
North Sullivan is a master of Location Portrait Photography. His exhibition, Local Heroes, is a superb example of his unique photography talent. Call us now to discuss your ideas with us and to set up a time for North to come out and meet you, prior to the shoot day.
Retouching and Enhancement
Cameras may not always be as forgiving as we might like. Which is why some kind person invented Photoshop.
All our photographs are hand crafted. Be that simply removing the unnecessary blemishes on an otherwise perfect skin, enhancing the colour or manipulating the look and style to individualise the final image. Nothing is left to chance and our attention to detail is legendary.
We offer a range of retouching options from the simple remedial blemish removal, to a gentle wrinkle reduction to a full makeover and even the complete magazine covergirl treatment. Together we can assess you images and decide which is the best for you. Everyone has different expectations, so don’t be afraid to tell us what you really want.
Make-up and Hair styling
Everyone wants to look their best for the camera and make-up is all a part of the process. You are welcome to make full use of our in-house make-up room if you would like to handle the make-up and hair yourself. Or for we can do it all for you. For girls this means a full professional make-up and hair styling. Full Hair and Make Up usually takes about an hour. For the guys it might just mean a closer shave and a touch of powder to hide the shine.
Wardrobe Styling
We will give you as much guidance as we can when it comes to the clothes you choose to wear for your session.
We recommend three or four different looks. This means a complete change of wardrobe. You might go for something very casual to start with, maybe jeans and a T-Shirt. Followed by a dressier outfit that you might wear out on a Friday Night. You might also want a look that is very formal or you might prefer a look that is a bit more theatrical. You may even choose to go with a swimsuit body shot.
Glamour shots? No problem, we will work with you to produce just the type of image you require. Just let us know before hand so we can have the studio ready for your requirements.
A few tips with wardrobe for your photography session...
Make sure your garments are neatly ironed and clean. Avoid logos and advertising, unless there is a strong personal significance. Try a few combinations before hand to see what works best for you. Remember to bring shoes and accessories, particularly jewellery. Hats, scarves, sun glasses, jackets can be fun!
